Happy Birthday President Monson

While in Salt Lake City with family it dawned on me (ok so I read the Church News that triggered the dawning) that President Monson's birthday was that very day (August 21). As we left the apartment to head home we drove by the Administration building for the Church. As we drove by we told Parker to wish President Monson happy birthday.

The following day we decided to celebrate his birthday in a way that would be pleasing to him, service. We asked Parker "what should we give him for his birthday?" His response, "Zucchini".

We then delivered some zucchini to an elderly widow in the ward. Watching Parker participate in this birthday celebration by handing this widow a zucchini brought us great joy.

Happy birthday President Monson!

From,

Parker A. Esplin
